10 Days of Turtlenecks (Day Nine)

Today is day nine of ten in my Ten Days of Turtlenecks post. Once this series of posts is done, I'm going to be starting some new projects on my blog. If you would like to have a say in what those will be, check out the poll that I'm going to be posting in the sidebar momentarily.

To start this outfit out, I'm wearing a silk flower hair clip that was actually from one of my old dance costumes. It's a beautiful blue color and is accented with a slightly darker toned glitter. A hair clip like this could be easily made with a silk flower from your local craft store, some glitter, hot glue and a clip, but if you're not feeling all that crafty, this one on Etsy is $7.

The necklace is one that I made myself using some sea-glass beads from a local craft store and a bigger piece of sea-glass I found on the Lake Michigan beach. I found this sea-glass trio necklace at Modern Artisans which can be viewed here, but there are also sea glass round beads available in a variety of colors at this website if you wanted to make your own necklace.

I bought the jeans at Charlotte Russe during one of their sales. They are the Refuge Hi-Waist Super Skinny Jean and can be bought here in black or here in the blue color that I'm shown wearing. I really like the wash of the denim and even though they're labeled as a "super-skinny jean" they aren't as hard to pull on as I anticipated. For those of you who know me, you'll know I hate wearing jeans, so this is one of the two pairs that I own because of how comfortable they are. I also really like the height of the waist, super easy to tuck in a blouse but also high enough to wear a crop top without it looking like too much stomach.

The turtleneck is the same black one from Target that I've been wearing in the last couple of posts. I'm not quite sure if it's in stock anymore, but the link can be found in some of my previous Ten Days of Turtlenecks posts.

Also, as a heads-up, Modcloth is having a 70% off sale that you all may want to check out. You can use my personal affiliate link here, and by using this link, I may be compensated for any subsequent purchases that you make.
